• Notes:This unique sand cast solid bronze sculputure, silver plated and gold plated 1000/1000, is a Pink Floyd shaped collector's item containing the "Wish You Were Here" compact disc (U.S. press). It is all hand made and numbered. Each quadrant of the disc base is rendered differently: plated in silver, then plated in gold or coloured permanently with a hot finish. The two clasped hands are silver plated and one is coloured black for a darker contrast.The treatment ends with a protective antioxidant coating of Zapon varnish. The letters on the base are chiselled by hand. The disc was carved by the Artist Grumpy, the hands by Grumpy Jr, as autographed by them on the sculpture. One of the most complex and challenging works of art of the Solid Sounds Bronze Series, embellished by the coating of precious metals, this extremely valuable set is limited to 8 units worldwide.
